Lua Quest: Diablo Edition

Lua Quest: Diablo Edition is a 2D adventure game made entirely using Lua.  My role in this was to take the existing Lua Quest game created by my instructor Myque Ouellette and add significant changes to it and fix the bugs that were inside of the game.  I decided to add an item generation system similar to Diablo for my changes.  Every time an enemy is killed in the game, it drops a chest that randomly contains gold, armor, or a weapon.  If the dropped item is a piece of armor or a weapon, it has random attributes based on the players' level.  If that weapon or armor is  better than the weapon or armor the player currently has, the player equips it, otherwise, it is immediately sold for gold.
